A Proven Path to Recovery for Men
Since 1996, the Hope Center’s Men’s Recovery Program has helped more than 5,000 men reclaim their lives from addiction. Located in Lexington, KY, this long-term, peer-driven program combines professional supervision, evidence-based recovery tools, and the support of a strong community. The result is lasting sobriety, stronger families, and renewed purpose.
About the Program
The Men’s Recovery Program is based on the Recovery Dynamics curriculum, a proven, structured approach that integrates the 12-step model with peer mentorship, accountability, and life skills training. Unlike short-term detox programs, this residential model provides 9–12 months of structured support in a community environment where men work together toward healing.
Participants learn to:
- Maintain sobriety through relapse-prevention tools.
- Rebuild trust and strengthen family relationships.
- Develop essential life and workforce skills.
- Live responsibly in a supportive community.
Safe Off the Streets: A First Step
Many men begin their recovery journey through the Hope Center’s Safe Off the Streets (SOS) program. This entry point offers immediate shelter, safety, and stability for men seeking help. From there, individuals can transition into the structured Men’s Recovery Program, where long-term healing begins.
Pathways to Long-Term Recovery
The program emphasizes personal responsibility and peer accountability, helping men not just get clean—but stay clean. Recovery includes:
- Relapse prevention strategies tailored to each participant.
- Peer mentorship, where graduates guide newer members.
- Life skills and workforce training that prepare men to re-enter society.
- Community living, fostering mutual support and resilience.
Facilities & Support
The Men’s Recovery Program is housed in the George Privett Recovery Center for Men, a residential facility designed for structure, safety, and community. Here, men live, work, and recover together, building a network of support that extends well beyond graduation.
Impact & Graduates
With over 5,000 graduates since its founding, the Men’s Recovery Program continues to transform lives across Kentucky. Alumni stay connected through mentorship and community events, creating a cycle of support that strengthens both individuals and families.
